Yesterday I wrote about what to buy your favorite writer for the holidays. Today I’m going to tell you what to buy your favorite writer if your favorite writer is a blog writer! 

Blog writers tend to have a different set of needs from regular writers. I happen to be both and often find my brain falls into two different places depending on what I’m writing. My novel has a very different feel from these quirky blog posts and that means I want different things on blogging days! 

So here are my recommended gifts for the blogger in your life to make their holiday season awesome!

A New Planner 

Bloggers have the unique job of scheduling. We schedule blog posts, social media posts, new blog ideas, blog goals, and more. Some of us also are students, parents, or just have other full-time high demanding jobs and busy lives. Having a planner in necessary to keep us sane and make sure we don’t forget anything! (Mine is color-coded. Let me know in the comments if you want a planner tour!) 

I found this cool planner for online content and media planning so your favorite blogger and keep all their blog planning in one place! 

If your blogger already has a favorite planner considering getting them some planning stickers or colored pens (see my writer gift guide for pens recommendations).

A New Camera

Bloggers take a lot of pictures both for our posts and for social media. If your blogger has been in the market for a new camera you could surprise them with one as a gift for the holidays! A lot of bloggers recommend the Canon EOS Rebel T6 and I found this convenient bundle on Amazon that comes with everything your blogger needs to start taking awesome pictures! 

If they already have a really good camera that they love, consider offering to buy them a year subscription to their favorite photo editing program like Adobe Lightroom.

If you’re on a budget, but still want your blogger to know you support them, consider getting them a blog themed tee or mug that they can wear while tirelessly writing and editing. I found this “Blogging is my Hustle” tee on Etsy and it’s adorable! 

Coffee

As mentioned in my writer gift guide coffee is usually a non-expensive and easy thing to get any creator or artist (unless they don’t like coffee, tea, or hot chocolate– which is surprising but some writers do). Grab them a gift card to Starbucks or their favorite coffee chain. Or if they’re a work from home type grab them a pack of their favorite flavor and a new mug or if you want to really spoil them grab them a Keurig! 

If you’re still lost at what to get your favorite blogger in your life try talking to them and asking what they need. Do they need help financing for a self-hosting service? Are they trying to save up for a new WordPress theme? Do they just need someone to watch their kids for an hour so they can get some work done? The best support you can give them this holiday season is just to ask them what they need help with!
