It’s October! So I thought I’d come back from hiatus with some spooky reads for you all! Over the summer I read Mexican Gothic, a psychological thriller set in the 1950s in Mexico. Synopsis From the author of Gods of Jade and Shadow comes a novel set in glamorous 1950s […]
HAPPY PRIDE! I’m so so excited to bring you a book rainbow this year. Every single book on this list has LGBTQIA+ representation and some of them have other representation. I will try to outline the diversity as I find it, but some of these books I haven’t read yet […]
This book was everything that I want in a book. It takes place in Salem where I spent most of my childhood having grown up in the adjacent town. The main character is a lesbian, there’s bi representation– and witches, they are witches! I’ve been absolutely craving queer witchy media lately after getting entirely into “Motherhood: Fort Salem.”
“I’m thrilled I have a series about a girl who is desperately in love with another girl so much that she would move heaven and Earth for her.” This book broke me apart and put me back together. Thank you Tehlor Kay Mejia for weaving such a rich story about love, rebellion, and hope.

Overall, I found The Real Devil to be laugh-out-loud funny, amazingly witty, and powerfully snarky. I can’t wait for the next journal and more of Vahla’s awesome life.
Hi dreamers! I’m currently blogging from the Chicago airport waiting on a connecting flight back to Madison from my trip to Boston! I went home to see my family and see my baby sister graduate high school and I’m so tired now. But lets talk BDB. If you’re getting sick […]
Content Warning: Abuse of Prescription Drugs, Drug Use, Alcohol Use, Violence, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Character Death, and Addiction Hi Dreamers! I’m going to be honest here, I didn’t like Rehvenge before his book. I had no interest in reading this one and honestly just wanted to get it read […]
Father Mine Let’s talk about the short story Father Mine, first. Okay… squeeee! This short story revolves around Bella giving birth and Z’s relationship with their daughter, Nalla, just… I’m a sucker for babies. I’m also a sucker for Zsadist, he and Rhage are my absolute favorite characters! Also, big […]
A lot of this book takes place in Phury’s head and his need to escape using drugs. the book also mentions heroin as one of Phury’s attempts to escape his own mind. It had a VERY different feel to the rest of the series because instead of the brotherly love we feel with other characters’ books, Phury alienates himself from everyone. He’s losing everything and Ward does an excellent job of showing us how addiction works and how heartbreaking it can be.
Hi dreamers! So this is my first ever wrap-up post and I’m so excited. I think I’m going to merge my wrap-up with my picks posts to do just a nice ending to each month! This month (and year) has been a bit of a whirlwind TBH. I’ve got a […]
Well. Hot. Damn! J.R. Ward has done it again and made me absolutely fall head over heels for her characters. Now to be fair, I have a huge soft spot for Butch.
I’m working quickly through this books series and it’s a long one so if you’re along for the ride with me, thank you because I am fully living in J. R. Ward’s universe at this point! This is Book 3 of J. R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood Series: Lover Awakened […]
Rhage and Mary are dynamic and their passion for each other is amazing.
Taking place in modern-day New York state, the Black Dagger Bortherhood series is one of the best vampire romances I’ve read in awhile.
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! When you’re reading this I will be out of the country without WiFi until 2019! I can’t wait to tell you about all of my adventures when I get back! Today I’m doing the End of Year Book Tag which I found on Jenn’s blog Jenniely. (It was originally on Drizzle and Hurricane’s Books.)
This YA Paranormal series pulled me in and didn’t let go. Hunter has a way of making me get just frustrated enough with the characters keeping their realness as teenagers, while also giving them incredible agency over the problems in their lives.
