A-Z Book Tag

Hi dreamers!

I stole this from Other Worlds Reviews and we has such vastly differant answers that I had to try it myself!

Author you’ve read the most books from
Tamora Pierce. Without a doubt, I’ve read nearly every book she’s written (Tempest and Slaughter is on my TBR list).

Best sequel ever
hmmm… I read a lot of series so I can’t pinpoint a specific sequel that I loved. Maybe The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe because it’s technically the second book in the Narnia series and it was a favorite when I was little.

Currently reading

The Blackdagger Brotherhood series by J. R. Ward!

Drink of choice while reading
Herbal tea with sugar or hot cocoa!

Ereader or physical book
Physical books usually, but I like eReaders for the convenience and the reading in the dark aspect.

[Recommend: eReader vs. Paper Books}

Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in high school
Any of Tamora Pierce’s heroines…

Glad you gave this book a chance
Hmmm… Love on the Edge by Chloe Adler. This series was honestly a hidden gem I found on bed rest over the summer. It’s a little obscure, but if you’re into paranormal romance I’d check it out. (There is a lot of sexual content though so 18+ please 🙂 )

Hidden gem book
Other than the series mentioned above I would have to say Dreaming Anastasia by Joy Preble. I found this book in a library book sale bin for a dollar and have not been able to find a copy since or anyone who has read it, but it was captivating!

You can actually buy it below and then come find me because I’d love to talk to someone about this book and its series!

Important moment in your reading life
Reading Perks of Being a Wallflower. It kind of put my teenage life into perspective and helped the world make a lot of sense around me. It remains my favorite book to this day.

Just finished

The Black Dagger Brotherhood: Lover Unbound by J. R. Ward. I know I’m like 3 books ahead of my reviews. I read fast.

Kinds of books I won’t read
Nothing is super off limits to me genre-wise. I won’t read any indie novels with major spelling errors and I often DNF books because I will pick up anything, but if I don’t like it then lifes too short for books you don’t click with!

Longest book you’ve read

Disclaimer 6/18/20: I no longer support or endorse J.K. Rowling due to her harmful actions and behaviors specifically towards the transgender community. I’m taking links that may support her off my site and am just leaving content. Some content will be removed as I see fit.

Probably Harry Potter. But the longest book I own is the Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe, I just haven’t read the whole thing because I find myself going back to favorites often.

Major book hangover because of
The House of Night Series by P. C. Cast.

Couldn’t tell you why but I remember having a killer book hangover after that series. I was fuzzy and out of it for a week!

Number of bookcases you own
Mine, my girlfriends, and stacks all around the house!

One book you have read multiple times

Disclaimer 6/18/20: I no longer support or endorse J.K. Rowling due to her harmful actions and behaviors specifically towards the transgender community. I’m taking links that may support her off my site and am just leaving content. Some content will be removed as I see fit.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I go back to it a lot because it feels like home.

Preferred place to read
My bed, but I’ll read literally anywhere. Some of the weirdest places have been while walking, in random downtown places, on a bus, under a desk, in various corners of my house… I like enclosed spaces.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you have read
“And in that moment, we were infinate.”

Every time I think of that quote from Perks of Being a Wallflower I feel like I can do anything.

Reading regret

I don’t have any because life is too short for reading regrets! I shamelessly DNF books!

Series you started and need to finish
Shadow Falls, Witches of East End, Disney’s Twisted Tales, Disney Villans, etc.

Three of your all-time favourite booksT

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

Unapologetic Fangirl For

The Kingdom Keepers! I love the Kingdom Keepers so much, but then again I’m also an unapologetic Disney fangirl!

Very excited for this release more than all the others

We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia! Ugh! one. more. week!

Worst Bookish Habit

Forgetting to update my Goodreads lol

X marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book

Disclaimer 6/18/20: I no longer support or endorse J.K. Rowling due to her harmful actions and behaviors specifically towards the transgender community. I’m taking links that may support her off my site and am just leaving content. Some content will be removed as I see fit.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Which I still have not read.

Your latest book purchase
I actually don’t remember unless you count my preorder for We Set the Dark on Fire.

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up way too late)
All the books! Mostly the Love on the Edge Series

Hah, yeah it’s interesting seeing how different people’s reading habits are! (I’d agree with you on Tamora Pierce, though, what I read of her was great!)

Perks of Being Wallflower is absolutely one of my favorite books as well! I even have a typewriter tattoo inspired by it. 🙂

yessssss to Tamora Pierce: prolific, consistent, and excellent! and herbal tea and hot chocolate are both excellent ?

I actually read almost exclusively on my Kindle (being away from my home library and book collection), so it’s actually a little weird to pick up a print book at this point ? it’s definitely a very different experience, but I think it’s one that can be acclimated to.

book Ginny > movie Ginny. that’s just facts.

“I will pick up anything, but if I don’t like it then lifes too short for books you don’t click with!” 100% agree! I live to give chances to all kinds of books, which also means I don’t have the time to struggle through all the ones I pick up!

enclosed spaces are excellent for reading. cozy and safe, and you can just get lost in the story ?

these are all excellent answers to a super-fun tag, one I might have to steal from you in turn ?
